What the Shamboks are all about...

The Shamboks is a multi-cultural over 35's rugby team, with the majority of players being in their late 40's and early 50's. Our club was established in in 1991 when the Golden Oldies rugby tournament first came to Perth. We have since played at every Golden Oldies Rugby Carnival, and also took part in the World Vintage Rugby festival that was hosted in Perth.

Our club originally consisted of mainly of ex-South Africans and Zimbabweans, however over the years our popularity has grown and we now have a number of Australians, New Zealanders and English players too.We play every second Sunday around Perth and the rules are simple, Have Fun!

What's different about the Shamboks is that they are the only other club in the world who have permission from the South African Rugby Union to use the Springbok as the team logo and have incorporated it into a map of Australia.

So if you are interested in being a part of this social rugby club get in contact with us at shamboks.wa@gmail.com.
